Aha Moment

Definition

The point at which a new user first experiences the core value of your product and understands why it is worth using. It is the moment a customer thinks, now I get it.

Why it matters

Users who reach the aha moment are far more likely to stick around and pay. Identifying and speeding up this moment is one of the strongest levers for retention.

Example

For a budgeting app, the aha moment is when a user connects their bank and instantly sees where their money went last month. The founder redesigns onboarding to get users there in under two minutes.
