Average Order Frequency

Definition

How often, on average, a customer places an order with you over a set period, such as a year.

Why it matters

A higher average order frequency means customers keep coming back, which is usually cheaper and more profitable than constantly finding new ones.

Example

If your typical customer buys from your shop four times a year, your average order frequency is four.
