Back-in-Stock
Definition
A notification system that alerts waitlisted customers the moment an out-of-stock product becomes available again.
Why it matters
Back-in-stock emails have some of the highest conversion rates of any e-commerce email, often 25-35%, because recipients are already committed buyers who were only stopped by availability.
Example
Your sold-out candle has 340 people on the back-in-stock waitlist. When you restock, you send the notification email. 110 purchase within 24 hours, a near-instant £3,850 in revenue.
