Brand Refresh
Definition
An update to existing brand elements such as logo, colour palette, typography, tone of voice, or visual identity to modernise the brand's appearance while preserving its core recognition and equity.
Why it matters
Brands that never evolve look dated. A brand refresh signals growth and renewed relevance without the cost and risk of a complete rebrand. Done well, it elevates perception while keeping loyal customers oriented.
Example
A founder who launched her business four years ago refreshes her visual identity: updating her logo to a cleaner version, switching to a more sophisticated colour palette, and refining her typography. The core brand remains recognisable, but the updated look accurately reflects where the business is now.
