Champion
Definition
A person inside a prospective customer organisation who believes in your product and advocates for it internally, helping push the deal through.
Why it matters
In any sale involving more than one decision-maker, a strong internal champion is often what gets the deal across the line. Finding and supporting one is a core selling skill.
Example
A founder selling to a marketing agency wins over one enthusiastic manager who then persuades her boss and finance team to approve the purchase.
