Cohort Retention Curve
Definition
A chart that follows one group of customers who joined at the same time and tracks what share keep using or buying month after month.
Why it matters
A retention curve that flattens out instead of falling to zero is one of the clearest signs of real product-market fit.
Example
Of the customers who joined in January, 60% remain after one month and the line levels off at 40%, showing a loyal core.
