Committed Monthly Recurring Revenue

CMRR

Definition

Your current monthly recurring revenue adjusted for signed deals about to start and known cancellations about to happen, giving a forward-looking view of subscription income.

Why it matters

CMRR is a more honest planning number than today's MRR because it folds in what you already know is coming, helping you forecast cash and hiring.

Example

Your MRR is £20,000, a £2,000 contract starts next week and a £1,000 customer has given notice, so your CMRR is £21,000.
