Email Segmentation
Definition
Dividing your email list into groups based on shared characteristics (purchase history, interests, location, behaviour) to send more relevant, targeted messages.
Why it matters
Segmented email campaigns achieve 14% higher open rates and 100% higher click-through rates than unsegmented sends. Sending the same message to everyone is leaving money on the table.
Example
A founder segments her list: buyers vs non-buyers, and programme A vs programme B owners. Each group gets different launches, offers, and content, relevant to exactly where they are in her world.
