Gift With Purchase

Definition

A promotional tactic where customers receive a free item when they spend above a certain amount or buy a specific product, increasing AOV and perceived value.

Why it matters

Gift with purchase increases AOV without a price discount, maintaining your margin while driving larger orders. It also introduces customers to products they might not have tried otherwise.

Example

Spend over £50 and receive a free £8 travel-size product. 60% of customers who see this offer increase their basket to qualify. AOV rises from £38 to £58 across GWP-eligible orders.
