Heatmap
Definition
A visual overlay on your website showing where visitors click, scroll, and spend their attention, warmer colours indicate more activity.
Why it matters
Heatmaps reveal what users actually do versus what you think they do. They expose missed CTAs, ignored navigation elements, and the scroll depth where people drop off.
Example
Your heatmap shows 80% of visitors stop scrolling halfway down your product page, before reaching your customer reviews. You move the reviews section up and conversion increases by 9%.
