Incubator

Definition

A programme that helps very early founders develop an idea into a business, often with workspace and support but less structure than an accelerator.

Why it matters

An incubator gives you a supportive home to shape an idea before you are ready to scale or raise serious money.

Example

A founder uses an incubator desk space and mentoring to turn her idea into a working prototype.
