Lead Velocity Rate
Definition
The month-on-month percentage growth in the number of qualified leads your business generates. It tracks how quickly your pipeline is expanding.
Why it matters
Because leads turn into future revenue, lead velocity is a forward-looking indicator of growth that often predicts where sales will be in a few months time.
Example
A founder had 80 qualified leads last month and 100 this month, a lead velocity rate of 25 percent, giving her confidence that revenue will rise soon.
