Net Burn
Definition
The amount of cash a company loses each month after accounting for any revenue it brings in.
Why it matters
Net burn tells you how fast you are spending money and, with your cash balance, how long your runway lasts.
Example
A startup spending £50k and earning £20k a month has a net burn of £30k.
