Outbound Marketing

Definition

A marketing approach where you initiate contact with potential customers, through cold emails, cold calls, direct mail, ads, or paid media.

Why it matters

Outbound gets your message in front of people who are not actively searching for you. It can generate results faster than inbound but requires more budget and persistence.

Example

A B2B founder sends personalised cold emails to 200 marketing directors. 15 book a call, and 3 become clients.
