Paid Traffic

Definition

Visitors who arrive at your website or shop because you paid for an advert, through platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok or Pinterest.

Why it matters

Paid traffic is fast and controllable, you can switch it on and start seeing visitors today, unlike organic traffic which builds slowly. The trade-off is that it stops the moment you stop spending.

Example

You run a £10-a-day Meta ad. Within hours you have 200 new visitors to your product page, visitors you would have waited months to earn organically.
