Product-Market Fit
Definition
The moment your product genuinely satisfies a strong market demand, customers love it, retention is high, and people refer others without being asked.
Why it matters
Before product-market fit, growing faster makes things worse, you're scaling a leaky bucket. After it, growth compounds because the product sells itself.
Example
Signs of PMF: Users are disappointed when the product is unavailable. Retention is strong. You receive unsolicited referrals. Your churn rate is low despite low marketing spend.
