Professional Indemnity

Definition

A type of insurance that protects you if a client says your advice, service or work caused them a loss.

Why it matters

If you give advice or deliver creative work, professional indemnity guards you against costly claims that your work was negligent or wrong.

Example

A client says your marketing strategy lost them money and threatens to sue, and your professional indemnity covers the defence costs.
