Pull Request

Definition

A request to merge code from one branch into another, includes a description, code diff, and review process before the change is accepted into the main codebase.

Why it matters

Pull requests let you review every change before it goes live. Even as a non-technical founder, seeing a PR gives you visibility into what your developer is shipping.

Example

A developer opens a pull request: "Add: Stripe subscription billing, connects plans to user accounts and webhooks." The founder reviews, asks a clarifying question, and approves.
