Reflection Practice
Definition
A regular, intentional habit of reviewing experiences, decisions, and outcomes to extract lessons, identify patterns, and apply insights to future actions and strategies.
Why it matters
Experience without reflection is just experience. Founders who build deliberate reflection into their routines learn faster, repeat fewer mistakes, and develop the self-awareness that is one of the most consistent predictors of long-term success.
Example
A founder ends every Friday with a twenty-minute journaling reflection using three questions: what worked this week, what did not work, and what one thing she will do differently next week. After six months, she reviews her reflections and identifies three recurring patterns she had never consciously noticed before.
