Sales Cadence
Definition
A planned sequence of follow-up touches, such as emails, calls and messages, spaced out over days or weeks to move a potential customer towards a yes.
Why it matters
Most sales happen after several follow-ups, not the first message. A cadence stops promising leads from slipping through the cracks because you forgot to chase them.
Example
Your cadence might be: email on day one, a LinkedIn message on day three, a friendly check-in email on day seven, and a final note on day twelve.
