The average amount of time visitors spend on your website during a single visit, a proxy for content quality and engagement.
Why it matters
Longer session duration indicates visitors are finding value in your content. Search engines interpret it as a quality signal. Short sessions may suggest poor UX or irrelevant traffic.
Example
A founder's blog shows an average session duration of 4 minutes 20 seconds, meaning visitors are reading full articles, not just landing and leaving. This is excellent content engagement.
