Share of Voice

Definition

The percentage of industry conversations, mentions, or ad presence your brand holds compared to your competitors, a measure of brand visibility in your market.

Why it matters

Share of voice correlates with market share. Brands with higher share of voice in their category tend to attract more organic enquiries and grow faster.

Example

In the meal prep space, Brand A gets 40% of social mentions, Brand B gets 35%, and your brand gets 10%. Growing your share of voice is a measurable brand growth target.
