Social Proof

Definition

Evidence that other people have purchased, used, and benefited from your product, reviews, testimonials, follower counts, press mentions, or "as seen in" badges.

Why it matters

People follow the crowd. Social proof reduces purchase anxiety by showing that real people made this decision before them and were happy. It is one of the highest-converting elements on any sales page.

Example

Adding "4.9 stars from 847 customers" and three photo reviews to your product page increases conversion rate by 15-25% on average, without changing anything else.
