Speaking Fees

Definition

Payment received for delivering a keynote, workshop, or presentation at an event, one of the highest-paid activities for subject-matter experts.

Why it matters

Speaking is a high-leverage income stream: one hour on stage can reach hundreds of ideal clients and earn £500-£25,000+. It also accelerates positioning as a thought leader.

Example

A marketing expert builds her brand through content. After 18 months, she is invited to speak at a conference for £2,500, then three more events follow that quarter.
