Subscriber Growth Rate

Definition

The percentage increase in your audience, email subscribers, YouTube subscribers, or podcast listeners, over a given period.

Why it matters

Subscriber growth rate tells you whether your audience-building is accelerating or plateauing. Consistent growth compounds: a 10% monthly growth rate doubles your audience in under 8 months.

Example

A newsletter grows from 1,000 to 1,100 subscribers in a month, a 10% growth rate. If maintained, it reaches 3,138 in 12 months.
