Systems Thinking
Definition
Viewing your business as a set of interconnected systems and processes rather than a collection of isolated tasks, understanding how changes in one area ripple through everything else.
Why it matters
Founders who think in systems build businesses that run without them. Instead of solving the same problem repeatedly, they design systems that prevent the problem from recurring.
Example
Instead of manually chasing late-paying clients each month, you build a system: automated invoice → payment reminder email → automated follow-up at day 7 → personal call at day 14.
