Tech Pack
Technical Package
Definition
A detailed specification document you give a manufacturer so they can make your product exactly as intended. It covers measurements, materials, colours, trims, labels and construction notes.
Why it matters
A clear tech pack is the difference between samples that arrive right and a costly back and forth of wrong sizes and materials. It protects your money, your timeline and your quality.
Example
Before production a designer sends a tech pack listing exact seam allowances, fabric weights, Pantone colours and label placement so the factory quotes and sews accurately.
