Unique Mechanism

Definition

The specific process, method, or approach that differentiates how you deliver results, the "how" that makes your solution different from every alternative.

Why it matters

A unique mechanism moves you from "another [type] service" to "the only business that does X." It is more defensible than positioning alone and allows premium pricing.

Example

Instead of "email marketing coaching," a founder markets her "Revenue Engine System", a proprietary 4-step method for turning a newsletter into a consistent £10,000/month income stream.
